If this is is not your first visit here it’s probably pretty obvious but anyway…the blog got a complete redesign! I feel like now it’s much more modern and clean and with a bigger focus on content instead of categorisation which also gives it a lot more room to grow for the future. And while we’re on the topic of growth I also have some big news!
This is me at 21 weeks taking a selfie in the bathroom at work. 😊
We’re already half way through but I haven’t shared the news with everybody yet so here it is. We’ve been wanting a new addition to the family for some time now so we’re very excited that this is finally happening and so is our little munchkin who can’t wait to meet his new sister (or is it going to be another baby boy?).
I can’t wait to share some new pregnancy related posts with you and luckily this new theme will gladly accommodate them but let’s start with the journey so far.
The beginning wasn’t easy, I can tell you that right now. While my first pregnancy was a breeze through and through this one began with a good two months of morning sickness. Let me rephrase that. A good two months of constant sickness. Luckily no toilet hugging was involved (OK, maybe once or twice but no biggie) but this is little consolation for the 24/7 feeling of having the worst hangover ever! Finally in week 16 it started getting better which was double the luck actually because that was right during our family vacation.
Together with the “hangover” came the exhaustion. I got tired really quickly in general but what most bothered me was the shortness of breath. I actually started planning all my most trivial tasks at home so that I could avoid going up and down the stairs as often as I could. I’m still not doing any significant exercise but I am feeling significantly better on this front as well so at least I stopped falling asleep at 9 p.m. and now I also freely walk around the house. I will go in deeper detail on that and my new relationship with exercise in another post soon.
Since month 4 I haven’t been feeling any major side effects (is the fact that nothing fits anymore a side effect?) so fingers crossed it stays that way. And last but not least all the tests so far have shown that little Peanut is doing great and that is of course the most important thing, everything else will follow!
Let me end the intro with that and I’ll see (see, really?) you soon!
