It’s no secret that I am a big big fan of Korean skincare. There is, however, one particular brand that I am particularly fond of. It’s Innisfree.
There are some products that I really love and keep repurchasing but I still like to experiment and always try new things. And I have to say Innisfree has yet to let me down. Every single thing I tried from this brand has been great. So it wasn’t easy choosing a top 5 but nevertheless, here it is.
1. Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam
This is supposed to be for oily and acne prone skin and foam cleansers from this category tend to be strong and drying. Well, not this one. I have nor oily nor acne prone skin but rather normal to dry and I still love this! It doesn’t dry my skin at all but rather leaves it squicky clean. It does have tiny exfoliating particles in it so it could be a bit harsh for those with really sensitive skin but for all other skin types including dry ones it is a gem. Comes in two sizes 150ml and 300ml, will last you forever since it makes a nice creamy foam and you only need a tiny bit, and it is super convenient. So there’s no reason not to try it.
2. Apple seed cleansing oil
I never really liked the texture of oil in general so when cleansing oils became popular it didn’t occur to me to try one. But then I got a sample of this one when I bought a cream (see point 5) and obviously tried it.
It was a revelation. Being an oil it is obviously great at removing any kind of makeup but what really surprised me was that it didn’t feel oily at all. I guess it’s because of the freshness of the apple. I didn’t even feel the need to follow up with a foam cleanser! So if you’re like me and you’re looking for a non-oily cleansing oil, this is the product for you.
3. Green tea seed serum
I do love all the products on this list and I do keep coming back to them but they are all replaceable and I do rotate between them and others. Apart from this one. This is the one and only and while I do not use it twice a day every day and do have other serums I always have this one at home and will usually apply it either during my morning or my nighttime routine. It is the best hydrating serum ever, fantastic price performance, refreshing, light, the smell is subtle but invigorating and of course, it will quench your skin’s thirst while feeling like nothing. The whole green tea seed line is good, to be honest, but this is it!
4. Jeju super volcanic pore clay mask
I’ve talked about this mask before actually while reviewing L’Oreal Pure Clay Purify Mask. And while in the end I actually prefer L’Oreal’s version, this still makes the list. It really clears your skin like nothing else and it’s an absolute must have if your skin tends to get oily. The only downside is that it is quite dry and dense in the jar which makes it a bit hard to apply but so worth it.
5. Jeju orchid enriched cream
This is my favorite face cream of all times!
Most Innisfree creams come in more than one variant, the orchid one is no exception and comes in three. The regular one, gel, and rich versions. I have at different points in time used all three of them and I can definitely recommend all three. I used the gel and rich versions on specific occasions when my skin got drier or oilier. That was mostly because of pregnancies and hormones but my normal go-to version would be the classic enriched cream. The rich version is a little bit thicker and more difficult to apply and you will need more product, while the other two glide on like nothing. All feature the same fantastic orchid smell and have the same active ingredients. The orchid line is an anti-aging one but it is also great at hydrating. There is no night version as usual with Korean skincare.
The reason I love this cream (besides the smell) is its texture, the feeling on my skin. And while it does really feel great when applying it also makes for a great makeup base even without primer. It also leaves my skin hydrated for a very long time and especially in the morning I feel like it plumps it up so I don’t look as tired as when starting my routine.
That being said other creams from Innisfree are great as well. I am currently using the Tangerine Vitamin C one and I have previously used the Seawater one and of course the one from the Green tea seed line. They are all amazing but the orchid one is my clear favorite.
So here it goes, the best Innisfree products I have tried so far (and I’ve tried many!). I hope you do try some and I really hope they work for you just as well as they do for me.
Please share your thoughts in the comments as usual, whether they’re your favorites too or if you have any other suggestions that should have made this list.
